MakWellnessCo LLC
A small studio in Layton, Utah

Come for an unhurried hour Steep

MakWellnessCo LLC is a small group wellness studio working from 1092 E 3250 N, Layton - 84040-6577, United States (US). Each morning we open the blend bar, set out the herbal tins and lead short sessions that combine slow mobility, guided breathing and a warm cup at the end. Nothing here is competitive, and nobody is asked to keep up.

Six bowls, six sessions

The stations on our counter

Every session at MakWellnessCo LLC is built like a bowl on the counter: a small portion, set in its own place, finished before the next one starts. Rooms are capped at eight people so the room stays quiet and the tea stays hot.

M

Mobility Flow Classes

A forty-five minute floor class that works through hips, shoulders and spine in slow loops. We use blocks, bolsters and the wall, and every movement has a smaller version offered out loud. Read the full class description.

K

Breath Work Circles

Eight chairs in a ring, one guided pattern at a time, and long silences between rounds. The circle is seated and fully optional from start to finish. See how a circle runs.

W

Herbal Tea Bar Sessions

The tins come down, the kettle goes on and we taste three infusions side by side. This is the social hour of the studio, built around cups rather than conversation prompts. Look at the tea list.

B

Recovery Stretch Clinics

A quiet appointment where one practitioner walks you through long holds for the areas that complain after work. Sessions are thirty minutes and never include stretches you have not agreed to. Book a stretch slot.

S

Sleep Routine Coaching

Three short meetings spread over a month, all about the hour before bed. We look at light, temperature, caffeine timing and the small habits that quietly push bedtime later. See the coaching outline.

R

Workplace Reset Programs

We bring the blend bar to a team, set it up in a meeting room and run three short movement and breathing breaks across a working day. The format suits offices, clinics and small warehouses. Plan a team visit.

Built for people who do not want a performance

Most wellness rooms ask you to be good at something. This studio asks you to be present. MakWellnessCo LLC was opened for the neighbour who sits at a desk all day, the parent who cannot find an hour to themselves and the tradesperson whose back complains on Friday. Our classes are short, our cues are plain and our teachers do not use language that makes anyone feel behind.

The room sits on the ground floor with a wide door, chairs along one wall and no mirrors. Mats, blocks and bolsters are set out before you arrive, so the first minute of a session is spent settling rather than arranging. If you have never attended a mobility class, a breath circle or a tea tasting, that is the usual starting point here rather than the exception.

We keep the calendar small on purpose. Two sessions in the morning, one in the early evening and a longer tea bar on Saturday. That pace gives the space time to air out, the kettles time to cool and our teachers time to talk with people before and after class.

The blend bar is the centre of the studio. Three shelves hold the pieces we use every day: a stack of yoga blocks that grows as the morning goes on, a row of herbal tins with handwritten labels, and a shallow counter of salt bowls for the tea service. Nothing in the room is decorative only. If it is on a shelf, a teacher will hand it to you before the session ends.

The block tower

The tower sits at the left end of the bar and is rebuilt after every class. Extra blocks are stacked in a loose column that anyone can take from, and the height of the pile tells regulars how busy the morning has been. We keep three densities, so a lighter block is always available for wrists or knees that need a gentler surface.

The tin shelf

Five tins hold the house blends: nettle for the morning, chamomile for the evening circle, mint for the summer bar, rooibos for anyone avoiding caffeine and lemongrass for the Saturday service. Each tin carries a label with the steep time and the water temperature, and we refill from a supplier in northern Utah.

The salt bowl counter

The counter holds a row of shallow bowls of different sizes. We use them for steeping, for cooling a cup quickly and for holding a pinch of salt that rounds out a bitter infusion. On clinic days the bowls are also used for warm hand soaks at the end of a long stretch session.

A note on pace. Our teachers leave two minutes of quiet at the start of every session and three at the end. Those minutes are not padding. They are the part of the class where the room stops hurrying, and most people tell us afterwards that they were the part they remembered. If you take one thing from this page, let it be that: the pause is the practice.

The Layton studio

We work from a single room at 1092 E 3250 N, Layton - 84040-6577, United States (US), a short drive from the centre of town with parking directly outside the door. The space holds eight people comfortably and twelve if the chairs come out for a tea bar. There is a small entry bench, a coat rail, a water station and a shelf of books about breathing, sleep and herbal infusions that anyone can borrow between visits.

Sessions run every weekday morning from seven until eleven, with one evening class on Tuesday and Thursday and a longer tea service on Saturday from nine until noon. The studio is closed on Sunday and on national holidays. Our contact line is +15137753369 and the studio inbox is wellness@makwellness.autos. We answer both between sessions, usually the same day.

If you are travelling from out of town, the studio is easy to reach by car and there is a bus stop two blocks east. We can hold a place for a visitor for up to an hour past the class start, which gives a little room for traffic.

MakWellnessCo LLC opens its morning class calendar one week ahead, and the kettle is always on twenty minutes before the first session, so anyone who arrives early has somewhere warm to wait.

What we hear from people who come back

Regulars tell us the first thing they notice is how little they have to remember. There is one cue at a time, one bowl of tea at the end and one teacher who will not rush the room. Over a few weeks, most people report that they stand up from their desks with less stiffness, that they fall asleep a little sooner and that the Tuesday breath circle has become the fixed point in an otherwise crowded week.

We do not promise medical outcomes and we do not describe our sessions as treatment. What we offer is a well-run room, clear instruction and a routine that fits into an ordinary day. When something is outside what we do, we say so and point people toward a clinician rather than stretching the scope of a wellness class.
